3 Things to Avoid When Metal Casting

Here at Protocast, Inc, we’re pretty proud of the metal casting that we do for our clients. We offer seven different types of processes in order to manufacture a wide variety of parts. In fact, we regularly feature the ways our customers have utilized our aluminum prototyping on our home page. But, unfortunately, there are a couple of metal casting projects we’d rather not take on. We can already hear you asking, “But why would you turn away business?”

Here are three things we’d like to avoid when metal casting:

  • T-800 Prototypes. That’s right. We don’t want to be the ones that start the whole process that makes Skynet become self-aware. Look, someone prototyped it, but that someone wasn’t us. Thankfully, we’re not experts in cybernetic organisms, so we’ll thankfully keep as far away from this one as we possibly can.
  • Sentinels. Everyone that saw The Matrix remembers the giant octopus-like machines that are sent down into the sewers to search for humans. Luckily for humanity, we won’t be the ones doing the metal casting for the prototypes.
  • 120-A/2. More commonly known as Ash, the android from the movie Alien is likely to have had his prototype made from metal casting. The fact that he considers his spaceship’s crew expendable makes us want to stay pretty far away from this one.

If you have an idea that won’t lead to the destruction of humanity and you’re seeking aluminum prototyping for your project, we’d be happy to help. Contact us today if you have a question or are in need of a quote.
