Learn About Our Precision Sand Casting

If you’re looking into metal casting, there’s a good chance that you’ll need a prototype very quickly. That’s why we offer precision sand casting.

What Exactly is Precision Sand Casting?

Put simply, precision sand (also sometimes known as “no bake sand”) is fine grained sand that’s combined with a urethane binder in order to make a casting. The huge benefit of precision sand casting is that it can be done relatively quickly and it produces an extremely high-quality prototype. As a matter of fact, once the sand binder sets, it takes less than half an hour to assemble the mold. At that point, molten metal is poured into it. Another huge benefit of precision sand casting is that it also allows us to make larger castings with thicker walls. What this means for you is that there are few size limitations.
